Honest comparison

Thinking about a Scolia? Read this first.

Scolia makes a genuinely good auto-scoring system. It is also the most expensive way to get one. Here is what the money actually buys, with every price sourced and dated.

What Scolia costs, really

The Scolia Home 2 is £778.95 (premierdarts.co.uk, checked 27 August 2026). The cheaper Home 2 Flex is £438.95 — but the Flex is free for only 1,000 throws a month, which a couple of evenings of practice will clear, after which the subscription runs from roughly £7.80 a month. Neither includes lighting: the Spark 360 surround is another £144.95.

So a Flex that you actually play on, with lighting, is realistically £583.90 up front plus about £94 a year — around £680 in year one. The Home 2 with lighting is £923.90.

What an Autodarts kit costs

A complete kit from us — pre-configured mini PC, cameras, 3D-printed mounts and a light ring — is £270, delivered. The Autodarts platform it runs is free: online play, tournaments, matchmaking and statistics, no throw caps, no subscription. If you already own a Mission Torus 270, Target Corona or Winmau ring, the camera kit alone is £140 and keeps your lighting.

Detection accuracy on the Autodarts platform is 99%+ by its developers’ published figure. Scolia’s scoring is excellent too — this is not a claim that Scolia mis-scores; it is a claim about what the last few percent of polish costs.

When Scolia is the right call

If you want a sealed, single-vendor appliance with first-party support and money is not the deciding factor, the Home 2 is a polished product and nothing here should talk you out of it. Buy it from a UK darts retailer and enjoy it.

If what you want is accurate auto-scoring, online play and stats for the price of a decent set of darts and a board, that is the gap we exist to fill.

The short version

Same job — cameras watch the board, software scores every dart. A Scolia Home 2 with lighting is £923.90 and a subscribed Flex is about £680 in year one. A complete Autodarts kit from us is £270, with no subscription, free UK delivery and a free remote setup call.

What the same setup costs elsewhere.

Compared like for like: what you pay for the hardware, what you still have to buy afterwards, and what it costs to actually play for a year.
